Saturn / Sani - The dreaded

Saturn is the most dreaded planet in vedic astrology. Everyone fears about saturn and sade sati of satrun. He is also responsible for one's life span or longevity. Saturn signifies poverty, slavery, physical work, insult, metals, iron, archeology, servants / laborers, handicapped, temptations, old age etc.,

Saturn is responsible for iron / steel, industry, foundry, mechanical goods, black coloured objects, beggars etc.,

Saturn will make us to enjoy our past karmas whether it is good or bad. By giving terrible experiences saturn makes one realize his self. The sade sati period is the worst. It lasts for seven and half years. This period starts when Saturn tranist 12th rashi from birth rashi. When saturn is at 12 th sign it is called Vyaya sani. When it transits janma rashi it is called Janma sani. When it transits 2nd sign from birth rashi it is called kudumba sani.

When saturn is placed at 3,6 or 11th house in birth horoscope he will give good results. For those born in night saturn is pithru karaka (significator of father). Saturn will give results in the age from 36 to 42. He will start giving Gochara results 6 months prior to entering a rashi.
